Title: Seeker of the Gnostic Path
Gender: Male
About Me:
I have been interested in spirituality for about 7 years, an interest that developed as more and more aspects of my life started not to make sense within my existing philosophy of life.
I was always resistant towards religion and various belief systems, but I did feel that some kind of spiritual experience was needed to fulfill my purpose.
So I began searching along with a group of close friends that started to feel the same way.
I read a book by P.D. Ouspensky that talked about the teachings of Gurdjieff, and this was a real eye-opener for me. Although it didn't offer enough practical advice to really get me started, it had some insights about psychology that I could immediately see to be true.
Later on I discovered the books of Samael Aun Weor, which opened my eyes to so many things. The breadth and depth of his teachings was just incredible, and although I began to practice them diligently, the sheer enormity of everything he had to say was pretty overwhelming.
A short while later I attended a course at a local library related to modern Gnosticism, which was facilitated by The Gnostic Movement. This series of free courses brought something very special into my life. The information was clear, and the techniques were self-evidently effective, as I began to experience many things that previously had seemed elusive, like profound self-awareness, out-of-body experiences (astral travel), deeper meditation, and greater peace and happiness. My experiences were so life-changing, that I became motivated to help teach and share this information with others.
The teachings of Belzebuub have had an enormous impact on me. This is one spiritual teacher that knows his stuff, and I can't think of any other author or teacher that has touched me more deeply and helped me more profoundly. I would recommend his books, audio, and video to everyone. He gives a free online talk every Saturday that shouldn't be missed.
I also enjoy reading ancient Gnostic Christian texts, and ancient texts from many other religions, such as Buddhism and Hinduism. (One of my favorites is the Dhammapadda.)
I look forward to connecting with new people here at Gaia and hopefully to make a positive contribution to the community.
